Personal training is a hands-on profession and the practical component of our curriculum is designed to give students the confidence and expertise to design and implement a wide variety of exercise programming for a diverse clientele. The practical component takes place at Gold's Gym and includes:
- Daily workouts
- Sports-specific training techniques
- Rehabilitative exercise techniques
- Coaching on functional training methods
- Student designed exercise programming based on real-world scenarios
- Instruction on designing exercise programs using a wide variety of equipment including the incorporation of body weight exercise and non-traditional equipment such as the stability ball, bands, tubing, medicine balls, the Bosu, dyna-discs and many other items.
